The existing RTU must have the following characteristics: 

  • Be packaged unitary equipment (no split systems)
  • Have cooling capacity of greater than five tons
  • Constant-speed supply fan (RTUs with variable speed fans are ineligible)
  • Heating must be provided by electricity or gas

  • A controller with digital, integrated economizer control
  • Web-enabled control, monitoring, and alarms
